Product

Which velvets do you offer?

Two 100% cotton velvet articles: 3000 Cotton Velvet, 280 g/m², for garments, ceremonial dress and stage, and 3500 Upholstery Velvet, 350 g/m², for upholstery, interiors and contract.

Which weight do I need, 280 or 350 g/m²?

280 dresses bodies: garments, ceremonial dress, costume and footwear. 350 dresses spaces: sofas, headboards, curtains and contract projects. If in doubt, we send samples of both.

What are the composition and width of the 3000?

100% combed long-staple cotton, no elastane, 280 g/m², 150 cm total width and 147 cm usable.

Can it be printed or dyed?

The 3000 is suitable for printing. It is supplied ready-dyed from stock and is not intended for re-dyeing; if you need another colour, we develop it to order.

How do I care for cotton velvet?

According to the 3000 datasheet: gentle machine wash at 30 °C, no bleach, no tumble drying, iron at low temperature on the reverse, and professional dry cleaning.

Is the 3500 flame retardant?

The 3500 is developed with a flame-retardant treatment for contract use (FR-ready). Classification is obtained to suit each project's destination market: tell us which standard you need and we will tell you whether we meet it.

Colour

How many colours do you have in stock?

25 references in five families (Statement Reds, Nocturnal Velvets, Atelier Browns, Modern Romance and Jewel Greens), in stock in both weights.

Can I order a colour that is not on the card?

Yes. We develop the exact colour of your project, in 3000 or 3500, through lab-dips, from 300 metres per colour.

How does custom colour work?

You send us the reference (physical sample, Pantone, NCS or one of our colours), we prepare lab-dips for you to assess under standard light, you approve one and the batch is dyed in that colour. It is locked for your reorders.

Will the colour be the same on reorders?

The physical card is our colour standard and every reorder is compared against it. For a single production run, we recommend ordering all the metres at once.

Orders and prices

What is the minimum order?

For stock colours, one box per colour, about 45 metres. For custom colour, from 300 metres per colour.

How is the fabric supplied?

On rolls, in boxes of about 45 linear metres per colour.

Why don't you publish prices?

We work with B2B price lists. We send you a quotation based on references, metres and destination, FOB Spain or CIF to your port.

How do I place an order?

Send us the references and metres through the contact form or to info@velvetes.com. We confirm availability and send a quotation.
